UMass Boston's College of Management is home to five outreach centers.
Center for Collaborative Leadership
The Center for Collaborative Leadership is charged with nourishing “emerging” leadership in metropolitan Boston and with exploring and refining the collaborative leadership model. Through the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), young adult professionals in Greater Boston enhance their individual leadership skills and ability to work effectively with others toward significant civic goals.
Digital Media Lab
The Digital Media Lab aims to turn the research and intellectual capital of academia on digital marketing, social media, and innovative media services into insights for real-world application The lab fosters a global community of researchers, practitioners, students, and alumni to advance new knowledge, widespread learning, and impactful dialogue on the challenges of a new digital marketing era.
Entrepreneurship Center
The Entrepreneurship Center (EC) at the College of Management adds breadth and depth to the singular entrepreneurship specialization at UMass Boston, the only school in this region that requires hands on experience as a core requirement for a degree. The EC’s programs, workshops, and mentorships link classroom learning with live practice in real world startups. They help students develop the smarts, savvy, and skills to take their place in the 21st century startup economy.
Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness
The goal of the Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness is to foster a transition to a clean, sustainable, and prosperous economy. The center applies its unique interdisciplinary expertise and engage in collaborations among businesses, universities, and policymakers to advance research, education, and innovative solutions for business sustainability and regional competitiveness.
Financial Forum
The Financial Services Forum is a source of information and commentary on the health and critical issues facing the financial services industry in Boston and nationally. Founded in the early 2000s, the Forum received national attention when it presented its findings on the state of the financial services industry in Massachusetts at the Boston Stock Exchange and its white paper on the mutual fund industry at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
