Why UMass Boston?

  • Flexible Full-time and Part-time Options: Students can enroll in one to four classes per semester, and with approval from the Graduate Program Director, five classes.  

  • Convenient Scheduling: Class schedules should not get in the way of advancing your education. Courses at UMass Boston are primarily offered in the late afternoons and evenings.

  • Eleven MBA Specializations: Our MBA is one of the most customizable programs in the area, offering students the opportunity to complete one or multiple specializations.

  • Study Abroad Opportunities: Each year we run trips to business hubs such as India and China, allowing students to earn course credit while gaining valuable international management experience. Suspended due to COVID-19.

  • Hands-On Trading Experience: Our Student Managed Fund started as a club in 2010 and is now organized as an Asset Management Practicum. Participants interact weekly with industry experts and gain valuable experience on Bloomberg terminals.

  • Research Opportunities: Graduate students in the College of Management can complete a master’s thesis, strengthening the research aspect of their graduate degree. This option is especially well-suited for students who plan to continue graduate study beyond the master’s level.
